Praise be to Allah, the Creator of all that exist, and peace and blessing be upon the master of the creation, Muhammad salla Allah alayhi wa sallam. This is a thesis entitled "Revision of Collection of Interpretations of the Qur'an, Compilation and Study of Riwaya and Diraya Interpretations". It is prepared by Muneera Saad Muhammad al-Saleh to get a master's degree in the Qur'an and Sunna. This thesis is an integral research to preceding studies as the project of revising the collection of interpretations of the Qur'an has been divided among the students of the department of Qur'an and Sunna. It began from the beginning of sura al-Fatih. My research covers compilation and study of riwaya and diraya interpretations of ayats from sura al-Baqara (106 – 123) whereby I have learned about the sources and development of Qur'an exegesis, methods and style of the commentators of the Qur'an, and how to reconcile between the opinions of the commentators. I have benefited from what I learned in the methodological preparation course, e.g. takhreej of narrations, i.e. the science of hadeeth extraction and authentication, including validation of chains of transmitters of a hadeeth and grading its authenticity, and participation in the scientific efforts to produce an encyclopedia whose method is scientific and prudent. The study plan consists of an introduction, three chapters and conclusion.
• The introduction includes: The methods of the study which is reconciliation between the interpretations of the ayats of the Qur'an mentioned in athaar. It also includes diraya interpretation and points related to it. By doing so, I hope to attain the honor of serving the Qur'an.
• The chapters of the thesis: The nature of the study necessitates dividing it into three chapters. Each chapter consists of sections, and each section is divided into three parts: Riwaya Interpretation, Diraya Interpretation, and General Interpretation. Each section discusses topics covered in the introduction. The titles of the chapters are: First chapter: The Attitude of the Jews towards Islam (aya: 106 -113), second chapter: The Greatest Injustice (aya: 114 – 117), third chapter: Clarification of the Truth (aya: 118 -123)
• The conclusion covers the results of the study, the most important of which are: 1) Warning Muslims about the grudge the Jews hide against them. 2) The ayats demonstrate that one of the bad characteristics of the people of the scripture is fanaticism regarding their religion. 3) The Qur'an is a system of life guides Muslims in all aspects of their lives, e.g. transactions, and how to treat the Jews, the Christian, and the disbelievers. 4) The Qur'an guides us not to accept any allegation of the people of the scripture without evidence and proof.
I think that one of the most important recommendations is to allow all students to participate in this project so that it comes to light in the near future.
Finally, I have provided the most important scientific appendixes at the end of the thesis. May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his household, and companions. |
