About the Society

     The Saudi Society for Vascular Surgery (SSVS) was founded based on resolution of King Abdulaziz University No. (7)  at its first meeting held on 28.10.1426(H) / 30.11.2005(G) as the first Saudi Arabian scientific association which provides help to vascular patients and develops vascular sub-specialty through the  development of this discipline through the development of vascular surgeons.  Similar to other scientific societies affiliated to universities in Saudi Arabia, SSVS will support scientific research and continuing education in its field of specialization, which will positively impact on patients who suffer from vascular disease, particularly diseases caused by atherosclerosis, diabetes and other diseases of arteries, veins and lymph vessels.
